Area Description
Winner of the 2008 Bledisloe Cup "Best Kept Village" (small) competition, situated less than two miles from the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. Made up predominantly of 17th and 18th century Cotswold stone cottages, the village houses a beautiful 12th Century Church.

An attractive village located in the North Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Hill is ideally situated to act as your central base for visiting the many wonderful sites in the area from Warwick/Stratford-on-Avon to the North, Cheltenham & Bath to the South and the beauty spots of Broadway, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and "The Slaughters", amongst others, are all nearer to hand.

Local amenities include the award winning, Horse & Groom gastropub (remember to book in advance!) and Bourton House & Gardens. To either side of the village there is farmland, running down to the Batsford Arboretum and the Cotswold Falconry Centre.

You are also only a short drive (or walk along the Heart of England Way) to Sezincote and a few minutes drive from the Bourton-on-the-Hill site of the Cotswold Paintballing company.

The nearest mainline station is in Moreton-in-Marsh where there are also antique shops, gift shops, pubs, restaurants (both eat in and take-away), tea rooms and the Co-Op, Budgens (which makes home deliveries) and a Tesco's which also delivers.

Buses run through Bourton-on-the-Hill most days.
