Area Description
Situated in the Parc Naturel Régional d'Armorique in the heart of the Monts D'Arrée, Huelgoat nestles in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The name 'Huelgoat' is formed of two Breton words: 'huel' which means 'high' and 'koat' which means 'forest'. The town sits on the edge of a 600 hectare forest offering many possibilities for leisurely strolls or a longer hike to discover 'Le Sentier du Clair Ruisseau', Le Circuit des Chevreuils, La Mare aux Sangliers, La Roche Tremblante (the trembling rock) and La Grotte d'Artus.

The town also surrounds a large lake which flows into the Rivière d'Argent over huge granite boulders (a feature of this area) at the 'Chaos du Moulin'. The lake is the home of a variety of wildlife and birds and fishing is permitted for carp, pike, perch, roach and tench. Fishing licences available locally.

Huelgoat has a number of restaurants, cafes and bars, local shops, small art galleries, a bustling Thursday-morning market, supermarket and bank. Les Glycines is 20m from the entrance to the town square.

Ideally situated for walkers and cyclists enjoying the beautiful Parc Naturel Régional d'Armorique, and the Monts D'Arrée, Huelgoat is also in a great location for exploring further afield: the dramatic northern coastline, the wide sandy beaches of western and southern Finistère, the Crozon Peninsula as well as the picturesque towns of Morlaix, La Faou and Quimper.

Description
Les Glycines is a small charming town house in the centre of pretty Huelgoat, Finistère. We have three en-suite bedrooms providing a cosy base for walkers exploring the beautiful forests of the Parc Naturel Régional d`Armorique and the Monts D`Arrée.

The White and Cream Rooms, both doubles, are located on the first floor of the house. An additional bed can be installed in the Cream Room if needed. The Twin Room has two single beds and is on the ground floor, with just two steps from the road to the house entrance, offering easier accessibility for those requiring it.

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms (shower, washbasin, WC), plenty of storage, central heating and double-glazing. Each room has a TV and DVD (film library available). Fans are provided in the summer. Linen and towels provided. Rooms cleaned and towels changed daily, regardless of length of stay.

The Breakfast Room is on the ground floor and can be used to relax with a book or browse through the local information available. Guests can help themseleves to tea and coffee at any time with trays to take it to their room if preferred. Breakfast is fresh bread and croissants (from the boulangerie round the corner), locally-made Breton crepes, jams and honey, cereals, yoghurt, juice, coffee, a selection of teas and hot chocolate.
