| The villa is situated 2km from the town of Armacao de Pera. Once a small fishing village, now a thriving resort and renown for its 2 mile long sandy beach which provides a variety of water sports. The town has numerous restaurants, bars,beach bars, shops, chemists, banks, a fish & vegetable market open 6 days a week, and several good supermarkets. A pleasant shaded front with plenty of sidewalk cafes, runs the length of the large safe beach. The old part of town, at the Eastern end by the fishing boats is lovely and contains numerous small bars and restaurants. If you want to explore other areas, then places like Portimao, Carvoeiro, Silves and Albufeira are all within 20 minutes drive of the villa. A visit to the Monchique mountains with the wonderful Eucalyptus groves and vistas is well worth a visit. There are numerous Golf courses in the area and the nearest is only 3km at Alcantarilha - the recently opened `Faldo` course called Amendoiera or Salgados only 10 minutes drive. Other courses can be found at Carvoiero, Penina, Morgado, Silves and Vilamoura. Windsurfing, paragliding, jetski`s hire are all available from the beach at Armacao de Pera, as are fishing boat trips to visit the famous sardine coves. Also nearby are other attractions such as Aqualand Water Park, Slide and Splash water park and the famous Zoomarine - all recommended family days out. | |

This rural villa is situated on a hill 2km from Armacao de Pera and near the quaint village of Porches.
